"Highly recommended for good standard Vietnamese meals. Its basic and we are never disappointed with service and delicious comfort food. Its quiet, bright and clean. Sorry - would have given 5 stars if toilet was cleaner."

"Average tasting with pho soup. Dry noodles are fine but would taste better if chilli oil is available. Fast service."

"THE place to go for Seafood rice noodle (menu item 16). Fresh & authentic taste and generous portions."

"Been here for over 20 years and it's reassuring that you can still see the same chef in the kitchen. The Hủ Tiếu Tôm Thịt - Glass noodles with Prawn and Pork or the Dac Biet (Combination) is the go to dish here, with a deceptively simplistic broth but comes together with all the elements such as celery root and fried pork fat. The dry Hủ Tiếu is just as good with the sweet chilli sauce. Make sure you get extra croutons (fried pork fat)!"

"First time trying Phu Vinh after driving past it many times over the years. We ordered the thịt spring rolls and hu tieu tom thit which is their quintessential dish. Although service was slow and forgetful, I was very impressed with the meal. The clear froth was fragrant and felt like a home cooked style dish. I’ve never seen iceberg lettuce in a Vietnamese noodle dish and I only got one prawn but I would still go back in a heartbeat! They also let you BYO"

"First time at this restaurant, group of 7. Service was quick and prompt, I had the Phõ with the lot and we also had beef Phõ. Sides were Prawn springrolls, pork springrolls and vegetarian springrolls The pho broth was excellent, clean and fragrant, in terms of topics they could have been thinner sliced and a bit more ingredients in the pho with the lot. The springrolls lacked what seemed to be the main ingredient as they all tasted the same, we couldn't find any prawn or pork. Definitely will return for the phõ"

"Food: Known for their staple Vietnamese dishes, previously we had only gone for quick lunches and it was just another one in the bunch on Hopkins. However this time round we had some Vietnamese food experts with us who pre-ordered fresh fish for a Vietnamese style sour soup, which most of us had never tried. Magic. Ordered a couple of other fried dishes with rice. Brought our own grog. Service: Minimal English, but very friendly. Ambience: Much quieter than its neighbouring popular Viet Kitchen and Sapa Hills across the road. But no lining up involved and no loud hipsters either. Value: Expecting it to be $40-$50 per head. Left with change for drinks and late night pizza at Mr West. Summary: Do a bit of research and compare the few restaurants. This one is probably worth exploring further as who knows what other gems are on the menu other than the regular Phos etc."
